Privacy
Last updated 17 October 2026
This policy follows the Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles. Switchback Hut Book is a small static site and collects very little.
What the site collects
No account, form, cookie, analytics tool or advertising tag exists here. Fonts and pictures load from the site itself, and no scripts come from other servers.
The company hosting the site may keep standard server logs, such as a visit’s time and technical details, for running and securing the service. Those logs are outside this site’s control.
Mail sent to [email protected] is read only to reply and to fix what it raises. It is not passed to anyone else, and it is deleted once the matter is closed.
Links to other sites
Game sites open in a new tab and have their own privacy practices. Their policies apply from that point, and some may use cookies or save data in the browser.
Access and correction
Anyone can ask for the personal information held about them, and ask for a correction, under Information Privacy Principles 6 and 7. Write to [email protected].
Complaints
A complaint that stays unresolved can go to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
